Match Numbers and One to One Correspondence Patches. One group of students puts on capes with numbers and stands in one area of the room. Another group of students puts on the capes wearing the one to one correspondence patches and stands on the other side of the room. When the music starts, children come together to find their match. a. Stick a long piece of masking tape on the floor. This becomes the number line. b. Students wear numbers 0-9 and line up randomly on the number line. c. Students then get into proper number order. Music can be played while children are sorting themselves out. d. After they are sequenced, each student says what number they are. You can have them stomp, jump, clap or touch the floor the equivalent number on their patch. Carrie Fisher
